Text encoder

Originally whipped up late one night to mask my new email address on my contact page. I figure it’s easier for people to click a link then punch in an address from an image thus why I made and subsequently use it.

This tiny JavaScript encoding/masking script can hide anything from source code sucking scoundrels, well that is until they start executing JavaScript. It uses Unicode characters and encodes/masks the text, you then paste the encoded string along with some decoding code in your HTML. With each load, it’s decoded on the fly for the user. Check out, my contact page for a practical demonstration.

Try it for your self, enter your email address or some other text.

Cut and past into your page and you’re all set to go.
